It took me 21 years to write these songs. It took 24 hours to record them. It will take you less than 20 minutes to listen to them. Songwriting for me has always been a process of distillery. A search for the pure, the pungent, the intoxicating. The art of making big things small, of whittling and folding ideas until they fit in your pocket, or the palm of your hand. How many pictures can a few well turned phrases hold? How many stories can a few notes tell? The result is a snapshot. Years of silent fermentation culminating in a moment if immediacy. Hey, let me play you the song I just wrote! Share in the savoring of the fleeting flavor, that leaves us staring into the bottom of the glass, nodding in agreement. Ain't that the way of the world.
